Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026 · Optio Systems Limited
This policy lists the cookies actually set on info.optio-systems.com. We keep it short and specific on purpose: this site uses very few. Nothing that requires consent is loaded until you give it, and you can change your mind at any time.
1. The short version
- Essential cookies — needed for the site and the booking widget to work. Always on.
- Marketing cookies — the Meta (Facebook) pixel. Off unless you accept. If you choose “Essential only”, the pixel is never loaded and no Meta cookie is set.
- Our page analytics are cookieless. We self-host Umami, which stores nothing on your device, uses no cookie or device identifier, and does not track you across other websites. It therefore does not require consent and runs for everyone.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise the browser on a later request. Related technologies — local storage, tracking pixels and web beacons — do the same job in a different way; where we use them, we treat them the same as cookies. A pixel is a small piece of code that reports back that a page was viewed or an action taken.
3. Cookies set on this site
| Cookie / storage | Set by | Purpose | Expiry | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
optio_cookie_consent (local storage, with …_at and …_version) | Optio (this site) | Remembers your cookie choice and when you made it, so we don’t ask again and can evidence consent. | Until you clear it | Essential |
_fbp | Optio (first-party, for Meta) | Meta pixel. Identifies the browser so we can measure which advert brought you here and whether you booked a call. | 90 days | Marketing — consent required |
_fbc (only if you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad) | Optio (first-party, for Meta) | Stores the ad click identifier so the visit can be attributed to the right ad. | 90 days | Marketing — consent required |
Calendly cookies (e.g. __calendly_session) | Calendly LLC | Keeps the embedded booking calendar working. The calendar is provided by Calendly from its own domain, so its scripts and cookies are controlled by Calendly under Calendly’s own notice, not by this site’s cookie banner. Calendly’s booking page may load its own analytics scripts. | Session / up to 1 year | Essential (to booking) |
| None — Umami analytics | Optio (self-hosted) | Aggregate page views and in-page events. Cookieless: no identifier is stored on your device and there is no cross-site tracking. | n/a | Not a cookie — no consent needed |
We do not use LinkedIn, Google or any other advertising or statistics tag on this site. If that changes, this policy is updated first and your consent is asked again.
4. Your choice, and how to change it
The banner on your first visit offers Accept all or Essential only. Until you choose, the Meta pixel is not loaded. Choosing “Essential only” — or withdrawing consent later — stops the pixel and clears the Meta cookies from this site.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all have a “Cookies and site data” section). Blocking essential cookies may stop the booking widget from working.
5. Third parties
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — the pixel. Meta processes the data it receives for its own purposes as an independent controller; see Meta’s privacy policy and its cookie policy.
- Calendly LLC — the booking widget; see Calendly’s cookie notice.
6. More
What we do with personal data generally is in our Privacy Policy. Questions: support@optio-systems.com. The company cookie policy for optio-systems.com is here; for this campaign site, the table above is the accurate list.
